Reading for Pleasure at St Andrew's
At St. Andrew's, we believe that reading for pleasure is essential to developing a love of learning and nurturing creativity, imagination, and empathy, values which align deeply with our Christian vision. We aim to inspire every child to realise their unique potential. By fostering a passion for reading, we encourage children to explore diverse perspectives, develop their understanding of the world, and care for one another. Our book clubs, Book Buzz, library sessions, and celebrations like World Book Day provide opportunities for children to connect with stories that inspire hope, justice, friendship, and trust. Through these experiences, we show our children that reading can enrich their lives and help them grow in faith and character.
