Wellbeing Team

The Wellbeing Team was introduced in September 2024 with the aim of supporting the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of all children and adults at St Andrew’s. Committed to fostering a culture of care and inclusion, the team works to promote positive mental health, encourage healthy lifestyles, and create a school environment where everyone feels valued, supported, and able to thrive.

Modelling our School Values

The Wellbeing Team was recently given the important task of thinking about our school values and how we can best represent them. They worked together to design and model some fantastic posters, which will be displayed in the school hall for everyone to see. These posters reflect the values we hold dear at St Andrew’s, such as kindness, respect, and honesty, and serve as a reminder to all of us to live by these values every day. We’re proud of the Wellbeing Team for their hard work and creativity in bringing these values to life!

Prayer Spaces

The Wellbeing Team has been working closely with Mrs Band to develop thoughtful and meaningful suggestions for enhancing our school’s Prayer Space. Each term, the Prayer Space is carefully linked to the school’s current Christian value, ensuring it remains relevant and reflective of our shared focus. The team’s work has centred on creating an inviting and respectful environment where children can pause, pray, reflect, or simply find a moment of calm. Pupils are welcome to visit the Prayer Space at lunchtimes, where activities and prompts help them explore and deepen their understanding of the Christian values in practical, personal ways, supporting their spiritual and emotional wellbeing within our school community.

Class Collective Worship Candles

The Wellbeing Team has been working to strengthen our school’s collective worship by decorating a candle holder for each class. These unique candle holders will stay in classrooms and be used by teachers during the weekly class collective worship, providing a special focal point for reflection and prayer.
